White & Orange for Day 1 of Magic

Aug 26, 2014

Hey! It's almost 4am and I am wide awake. I know, I need to work on my sleep schedule, but I feel so much more productive at night. School is starting up so I need to work on fixing it ASAP. My official first day of class is tomorrow, but my professor sent an email saying we won't be meeting until next week. Seeing that it is my only class means an extra week of summer vacation for me! I have one more week to stay up late for no reason but just because I want to. One more week of not having to write long papers or meet up for group projects. One more week of freedom then it's back to the school grind.

It feels so good to be in my last semester and only having one class to worry about. I'm not used to having so much free time. This time last year I would be meeting my new teammates, going to athletes' orientation, and team meetings. I can't say that I don't miss it. It was a routine I was so comfortable with for the last 4 years of my life and it's kind of weird going through such a drastic change. I guess it's a good thing I picked up blogging when I did or I'd be struggling with withdrawal issues haha.

In the next month or so I am going to start training again for the high jump. It is something I love to do and I am excited to see what the future holds for me at the post-collegiate level. Speaking of training, look out for some fitness related outfit posts in the coming weeks. Ever since I started blogging I knew I wanted to incorporate some type of fitness articles into my blog I just wasn't completely set on what I wanted to do. Now, I have a pretty good idea on what  I want to do, and I cannot wait to start sharing with you. If you have any suggestions at all feel free to leave a comment or message me and let me know! I'd love to hear from you :)

Today we have one of the three outfits I wore while I was in Vegas for the Magic Fashion Trade Show. While preparing for the event I didn't know what to expect. I had no idea what to wear (overpacking alert!) or who would be there. I opted for jeans and a structured blazer so that I could look put together, but if I was overdressed I could just take the blazer off. I threw on a pair of heels because again, I did not know what to expect. I surprised myself by walking around the entire day (8am-5pm) without taking them off, but come nightfall my feet were crying for help. I just have to keep telling myself that beauty is pain and I need to deal with it, but I really do need to invest in a more comfortable pair of heels. Enjoy the pictures, and check back tomorrow for outfit #2!
