The weekend is finally here! Yess! I've been quite lazy this week when it came to leaving the house other than going to work, class, or to workout. I'm making an effort to leave the house this weekend and hang out with my friends who by now probably think I moved or something because I haven't seen them in so long. I've been in hiding. The definition of M.IA. Glued to my computer. Taking pictures and blogging. I know, I have a problem. I'm working on it.... starting with this weekend.
These pictures are from last weekend while I was in Houston. My little brother took these for me and I think he did a pretty good job. I feel so blessed to have family and friends that are always so willing to help out. It makes the whole experience so much more satisfying knowing that I'm doing something I love with the people I love.
Hey hey! Yesterday I went to TopGolf with my man friend and basically had the time of my life. If you've never heard of TopGolf, it's the new hot spot that combines competition with entertainment through golf. The basic object of the game is to hit microchipped golf balls into different targets in order to score points. The closer the ball lands to the middle of each target, the more points you get. For the people like me who don't have any experience playing golf, it's just fun hitting the ball around and not really caring how far it goes. For the more experienced people, there are different games you can play that are sure to test your golfing skills.
What I love the most about this place is the atmosphere. The modern design, friendly staff, lounging areas, and well presented food and drinks really gives you that high-quality experience. If you're wondering if you need to be good at golf to play, the answer is no. Im actually terrible at it and my hand-eye coordination is a complete struggle, but I still really enjoyed myself. All you really need is a fun person to go with and you'll enjoy yourself. Aside from the actual game, there's music, food, and a bar for anyone who just wants to hang out with friends and have a good time.
Good Morning! Can I just say that I am obsessed with these pants? Everything about them is just yes, yes, YES! The fit is perfect, the length is perfect, and the print is so vibrant they are sure to turn a few heads. I never got the opportunity to attend fashion week, but if I did, this would be an outfit I'd consider wearing.
Im going home today! When I say home I'm talking about Houston. Technically my home is here in Austin, but I'll always consider Houston my home because that's where I grew up and that's where my family is. I haven't been home in what feels like forever even though it's really only been a month.
My freshman year of college I literally went home every chance I got. I had weekend track practice most of the time so I only had a free weekend once or twice a month, but if I was free I was heading home. It's crazy how times have changed because as the years passed I started going home less and less to the point where I was only going home on the major holidays.
Growing up, my parents constantly gave me advice and tips on how to be a better person. Those tips have now turned into lifelong lessons that I will never forget. I love sharing parts of my life with you so I've decided to start this new series called "Lessons from Home" where I'll share one lesson I learned growing up that has helped shape me into the person I am today. Of course, I'd love to hear your thoughts as well as any life lessons you've learned over the years.
